Now that it is time to plan your wedding you may be feeling a little overwhelmed. On average, it takes over 200 hours to plan a wedding. Yet couples are unsure if they need to hire a planner that will orchestrate the entire day. Which that’s like hiring a band with no instruments!
Every bride dreams of having a fairytale wedding. We want to make your special day is amazing and truly unique – something you will remember and cherish for years to come. Planning a wedding can be challenging and it will encompass a great deal more than you might be considering right now. You may be merging two homes, bring in out of town guest, there's the honeymoon, and then there is your full-time job. Even without a full time job it is beneficial to have someone to guide you through the process and keep you on track for appointments, weed through vendors and avoid getting lost in the process.
It’s not in mybudget – Consider how much you allocated for a caterer, the perfect photographer, and picking a DJ/selecting the music. In reality a planner can not only save you money but TIME. Planners have relationships with vendors and venues – they have time to price shop and make calls to lineup appointments.
Referrals are important to vendors and if they want to be referred for the next client they will work harder to ensure everything in your wedding goes great. Planners also help you put together a realistic budget and can help you eliminate or add as the wedding comes together. In the end the money and time saved might be greater than the cost of the planner.
...and yes I too used a wedding planner!
Friends & Family Can Help – While this is a nice gesture, they are your guests and like you should enjoy your wedding day, not worrying about why the linens being set out are green not blue. Consider your BFF, how preoccupied she will be getting ready, socializing, and admiring how beautiful you look – not focused on the finer points that make the event happen. While at your wedding you planner can check you into your hotel so you don’t lose your room due to a late arrival or even assist the photographer in finding family members – to be sure someone is not overlooked.
What if your future mother-in-law has a completely different vision for her son’s wedding, she insists that you use red and black for your colors and you want yellow and blown? You need a MEDIATOR. A planner is a good third-party mediator in tricky family situations. It is impossible to please everyone; however, at least a planner can give an unbiased opinion to help navigate problems.
...we can even help you write your own vows.
I have read all the magazines and blogs – a planner will take the fun out of planning my wedding – When you first get engaged, wedding planning is a novelty. You buy every magazine and bookmark every blog to help plan your big day. However, with hundreds of blogs, magazines, photographers, videographers, venues, etc… it can get overwhelming. It is suprisingly stressful to try and narrow down all of the who or what is the best fit for your style, budget and needs.
Quickly the couple is so worn out with all the decisions that the process is no longer fun. Wedding planners do this every day will help bring you the resources that best fit your needs so that you ENJOY the planning process. They are educated and knowledgeable in all things wedding related from etiquette to getting a marriage license, travel agents, passport help – we are a great resource. No more worrying about getting the right cater only to find out the photographer you wanted is booked that day.
